The story begins when Jack (Christopher Lee) publicly proposes to Sue (Fann Wong) during the live telecast of a regional awards show. Surprised but happy, Sue accepts. What the public doesn't know is that the entire love affair is an elaborate and meticulously planned ruse designed by their ambitious managers May and Tom. In reality, Jack has disliked Sue from the first day they met and vice versa. But through it all, the two stars keep up with the charade. Just when everything is going so well, an incident has rattled some of the fans and the media. There is doubt now lingering about the authenticity of this love match.

Merry Christmas!
But do u all know how did christmas start?
Since about 400 AD, Christians have celebrated the birth of Jesus.
'Christ' means 'Messiah' or 'Anointed One' - the title given to Jesus - and 'Mass' was a religious festival.
In the West today, the real meaning of Christmas is often forgotten. It has become a non-religious holiday! More children believe in Father Christmas than in Jesus.
Christmas Day is a time for eating and drinking too much and watching television. But the real Christmas story is found in the Christian Bible.
It is told in two different books: Matthew and Luke chapters 1 and 2. If you have no Bible, you can read these chapters online. You may think that the story of the birth of Jesus, and the way that the West celebrates Christmas today, do not seem to have many connections.
These chapters tell how Jesus was born as a baby to Mary. This was no ordinary birth!
She was not married, she was a virgin, (yes, really!) and an angel had told her she would bear a special baby. Her husband-to-be, Joseph, did not believe her at first.
Who would? Then an angel told him in a dream that it was true! Probably no one else believed it. So when they had to travel from their home in Nazareth to Bethlehem (near Jerusalem), to register their names with the ruling Roman government, they probably escaped many hard words from other people.
Arrival in Bethlehem brought worry and upset: there was no room for them to stay at the hotel.
There was only space in the stable - the animal house for travellers' donkeys and horses. Jesus was born that night, and as they had no bed for him, they used an animal feeding box filled with the dry grass the animals ate.
Christmas cards and pictures today make it all seem very nice. In truth, it must have been dirty and frightening for a young couple, far from their home and families.
Possibly the birth was premature after the stress of the journey. This was a very poor place for Jesus to start his life on earth.
Herod, the evil king of the area, heard about the child, saw Him as a threat, and sent soldiers to kill Jesus.
But God told Joseph in a dream to take Mary and the baby and escape to Egypt. They lived there till King Herod died and then went back to live in Nazareth.
We read nothing more about the life of Jesus, except for one story when he was 12, until He reached 30
Jesus was killed on the Cross (execution pole) at the age of 33
The old man with the sack
'Father Christmas' (or 'Santa Claus') has become the human face of Christmas.
Pictures will be seen everywhere of the old man with long white beard, red coat, and bag of toys. Children are taught that he brings them presents the night before Christmas (or in some countries on December 6th - St. Nicholas' Day), and many children up to the age of 7 or 8 really believe this is true.
In most countries, it is said that he lives near the North Pole, and arrives through the sky on a sledge (snow-cart) pulled by reindeer. He comes into houses down the chimney at midnight and places presents for the children in socks or bags by their beds or in front of the family Christmas tree.
In shops or at children's parties, someone will dress up as Father Christmas and give small presents to children, or ask them what gifts they want for Christmas. Christmas can be a time of magic and excitement for children.
Who was he? Father Christmas is based on a real person, St. Nicholas, which explains his other name 'Santa Claus' which comes from the Dutch 'Sinterklaas'. Nicholas was a Christian leader from Myra (in modern-day Turkey) in the 4th century AD.
He was very shy, and wanted to give money to poor people without them knowing about it.
It is said that one day, he climbed the roof of a house and dropped a purse of money down the chimney. It landed in the stocking which a girl had put to dry by the fire!
This may explain the belief that Father Christmas comes down the chimney and places gifts in children's stockings.

Halloween is one of the oldest holidays with origins going back thousands of years. The holiday we know asHalloweenhas had many influences from many cultures over the centuries. From the Roman's Pomona Day, to the Celtic festival of Samhain, to the Christian holidays of All Saints and All Souls Days.
Hundreds of years ago in what is now Great Britain and Northern France, lived the Celts. The Celts worshipped nature and had many gods, with the sun god as their favorite. It was "he" who commanded their work and their rest times, and who made the earth beautiful and the crops grow.
The Celts celebrated their New Year on November 1st. It was celebrated every year with a festival and marked the end of the "season of the sun" and the beginning of "the season ofdarkness and cold."
On October 31st after the crops were all harvested and stored for the long winter the cooking fires in the homes would be extinguished. The Druids, the Celtic priests, would meet in the hilltop in the dark oak forest (oak trees were considered sacred). The Druids would light new fires and offer sacrifices of crops and animals. As they danced around the the fires, the season of the sun passed and the season ofdarknesswould begin.
When the morning arrived the Druids would give an ember from their fires to each family who would then take them home to start new cooking fires. These fires would keep the homes warm and free fromevilspirits.
The November 1st festival was called Samhain (pronounced "sow-en"). The festival would last for 3 days. Many people would parade in costumes made from the skins and heads of their animals. This festival would become the firstHalloween.
During the first century the Romans invaded Britain. They brought with them many of their festivals and customs. One of these was the festival know as Pomona Day, named for their goddess offruits and gardens. It was also celebrated around the 1st of November. After hundreds of years of Roman rule the customs of the Celtic's Samhain festival and the Roman Pomona Day mixed becoming 1 major fall holiday.
The next influence came with the spread of the new Christian religion throughout Europe and Britain. In the year 835 AD the Roman Catholic Church would make November 1st a church holiday to honor all the saints. This day was called All Saint's Day, or Hallowmas, or All Hallows. Years later the Church would make November 2nd a holy day. It was called All Souls Day and was to honor the dead. It was celebrated with big bonfires, parades, and people dressing up as saints,angelsanddevils.
But the spread of Christianity did not make people forget their early customs. On the eve of All Hallows, Oct. 31, people continued to celebrate the festivals of Samhain and Pomona Day. Over the years the customs from all these holidays mixed. October 31st became known as All Hallow Even, eventually All Hallow's Eve,Hallowe'en, and then -Halloween.
The Halloween we celebrate today includes all of these influences, Pomona Day's apples, nuts, and harvest, the Festival of Samhain's black cats, magic, evil spirits and death, and the ghosts, skeletons and skulls from All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day.

Alan is a successful investment consultant. Due to his impressive portfolio of clienteles, he does not have to slog daily from 9 to 5 like any other executives. At age over 40, he is the most eligible bachelor that any lady would yearn for. However, he is a stubborn man, and has a cleanliness obsessive compulsive behaviour and is extremely difficult to get along with. Alan is a dejected figure today as he has once again been dumped. He meets his neighbor Lin Ai Hua who has just moved in and has a little conflict. At the same moment, Ai Hua sees Man Ting appearing at Alan’s place with a 9 month’s old infant Nicole. Man Ting is actually Alan’s sister. She begs Alan to take care of Nicole as she has to fly to the Middle East to rescue her husband who has been detained for involvement in a smuggling case. Alan is reluctant initially, but finally succumbs after hearing Man Ting’s reasons. When Nicole started crying, Alan is at a lost for he has no experience at taking care of an infant at all!
Seeing Alan struggling with a crying infant, Ai Hua suggested to Alan to find Man Ting’s clothing and put them on, as the familiar smell of the mother will sooth the infant’s anxiety in a stranger’s hand. Thus, Alan rushes to the airport to pick up Man Ting’s clothes from her. Apart from wearing Man Ting’s clothes, Ai Hua even put on a pair of fake breasts to feed Nicole, surprisingly, it works. He Gui Sheng and wife, together with son, He Ming Feng, and daughter-in-law Sophia stay together in the flat. Ming Feng and Sophia have been married for 10 years. They have tried countless methods to have a child, and finally Sophia is pregnant for 5 months, so naturally, He Gui Sheng and wife are extremely protective over their future grandchild. Sophia, being a property agent, has to travel a lot in order to meet clients. Sophia is reluctant to quit her job, despite numerous attempts from her in laws to persuade her. However, after several health concerns, Sophia finally gives in, and stays at home. Due to inactivity at home, Sophia plans to entice the neighbors to en-bloc the condominium. Ai Hua is a divorcee who manages a flower shop alone. She has been raising her six years old son, Bernard, since her divorce three years ago. Ai Hua’s mum, Li Juan stays with them and helps take care of Bernard. Li Juan has always hope for Ai Hua to find new love by matchmaking her. Actually, Ai Hua does not lack suitors and has an eager one in the form of William who is a boss of a renovation company. He tries to get close to Ai Hua by patronizing her shop regularly. Despite this, Ai Hua is not interested. Alan is woken up by Nicole’s wailing after a sleepless night from taking care of her. He seeks Ai Hua’s help after realizing that Nicole has soiled her diaper. Ai Hua unwillingly helped him despite their indifferences. At the same time, lectures Alan for womanizing. Alan quickly explains…
After having Nicole’s companionship, Alan is not as irritating as before. Even He Gui Sheng and wife offers to lend a hand in taking care of Nicole. Alan and Ai Hua’s relationship begins to see a new light. Alan starts to develop special feelings for Ai Hua. However, Alan and Bernard are like nemesis, always fighting whenever they are in each other’s presence.
After surviving an insufferable week, Alan receives a piece of terrible news; his sister has been detained by the Middle East police. Alan contemplated abandoning Nicole but changes his mind. Hence, a new chapter of their lives begin. Alan takes initiative to get close to Ai Hua. Despite frequent squabbling, Ai Hua has grown a fondness for Alan. She doesn’t openly display it due to Bernard disliking of Alan. Sophia is about to give birth when she realizes abnormal swelling on her body. Upon examination, she is tested to be suffering from Pregnancy Toxaemia… Will she get through this? As usual, Alan brings Nicole for a walk and is surprise to see Man Ting. She wants to take Nicole home. As a result of a lengthy separation, Nicole has grown unfamiliar with Man Ting and cries when she tries to carry her. Alan is heartbroken and can’t bear to let Man Ting takes Nicole away. Man Ting sees this that realizes the bond that their have formed and agrees to let Alan be Nicole’s godfather. Alan finally picks up his courage and brings Nicole to find Ai Hua to confess his love for her…
